Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to join our team. As the leader of our establishment, you will oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service and maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include organising the team roster, conducting stocktakes, managing daily takings, and providing regular reports to the owner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including service, staffing, and inventory management.

  • Create and maintain staff rosters, ensuring optimal coverage during operating hours.

  • Conduct regular stocktakes and manage inventory levels to minimise waste and ensure efficient operations.

  • Oversee daily financial transactions and reporting, including cash handling and reconciliations.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring staff morale and performance.

  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain menu consistency and quality standards.

  • Uphold health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a fine dining restaurant environment.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Proficiency in financial management, including cash handling and reporting.

  • A passion for food and wine, with knowledge of French and Italian cuisine and wine regions.

  • Flexibility to work Thursday dinner through Sunday lunch, with occasional additional hours during peak seasons.

Salary Package:
